GROUP FUNCTIONAL TRAINING FOR WOMEN (strength and metabolic) and BOOTCAMP!
Group Functional Training (twice a week for 4 weeks): Classes of 2 or more are designed to teach women how to create a leaner, stronger body through strength training with a functional component. Functional training refers to strength training for daily activities, general conditioning, and building lean muscle mass to assist in fat loss -- as different from strength training for body building, power lifting, or sports specific training. These 60 minute classes meet at the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley YMCA. http://www.valleyymca.org/scottsdaleparadise.
Bootcamp (once a week for 4 weeks): An intense workout using functional equipment such as Kettlebells, Medicine Balls, TRX, Battling Ropes, free weights, and body-weight exercises -- and anything else in the gym that's not nailed down!! -- for a full body, integrated workout designed to UP your conditioning and TORCH body fat.
Please be aware that in order for classes to run in any monthly period, there must be at least 4 people signed up. It is, after all, a "group" class. Classes will be capped at 6 participants so that each member can get appropriate personalized attention. Classes can be added where there is a need, so fill out that inquiry form if you want to see a class at a day/time not listed here -- and grab some friends to join you if you'd like to get going!
