It's a series of little steps, this life of health and fitness. No matter where you are, you can start TODAY! And don't just make this another New Year's resolution (to be broken in 2 weeks by 70% of us, as statistics show). Instead, determine that each day you will do what you can to be healthy and fit. Start by changing ONE LITTLE THING today. Maybe you'll choose to drink 8 glasses of water each day. You'll fill up your 64 oz. container, and you'll start in the morning and finish it by bedtime (or way before bedtime so you don't have to get up to pee a dozen times!). Maybe you will not buy Cheetos for a month (I don't eat Cheetos, but a friend of mine always posts on Facebook when she's giving in to the little devils!). Maybe you will have your toast without butter (or maybe you'll choose butter over, yikes, margarine!). And maybe you'll also MAKE TIME to work out 2-3 times a week and you'll cement that into your schedule so as not to let anything get in the way of YOUR TIME to get fit.
You don't need to decide to lose 10 pounds, run a 1/2 marathon in April, and become a poster child for the Mediterranean Diet all at once. Don't try to change 5 little things or 3 little things today... focus on changing just ONE. One step at a time.
You are worth it, you know? Whether or not you are truly aware of it, somebody loves you, you are here for a reason, and you matter. Be the healthiest you can be during the time you are here.
Make time, take time... one little thing at a time.
